We’re a branding & design agency that believes brands should feel like full-blown universes, not just logos slapped on things. That takes big ideas… and someone who can keep those ideas on timeline, on budget, and out of email purgatory.

What You’ll Actually Do:

• Be the calm, competent bridge between our clients, vendors and our creative team

• Run projects from kickoff to launch without losing your mind (or the files)

• Build timelines that people respect

• Gently (or not-so-gently) herd cats

• Spot scope creep before it becomes a scope monster

• Help proof visually stunning, albeit complex, design layouts and copywriting

• Lead status meetings that don’t feel like hostage situations

• Support our own marketing efforts, particularly our social media presence

You Might Be a Fit If:

• Budget and timeline spreadsheets don’t scare you

• You can easily navigate project management tools (bonus points if you’ve worked in Asana and Toggl before)

Below is an example description of what we’re often looking for in new design hires.

IN PERSON: Wilmington, North Carolina

Applicants should have 2–6 years of creative design experience and be confident in their ability to create ground-up designs that are seen as fresh and progressive. The ideal candidate will have strong design skills with attention to detail. We value having a passion for seeking out fresh illustration, art, photography and motion/video samples for inspiration or use in our projects. Applicants mush have experience creating final vendor-ready files for various project types and be proficient with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign at a minimum. If you have digital experience, such as with Shopify-based web development, Figma, etc. be sure to let us know.

COMPENSATION RANGE BASED ON EXPERIENCE: $T.B.D, plus benefits

ABOUT THE POSITION:

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
• Contributing to conceptual, creative development of brands from the ground up
• Design concepts from sketches through final meticulous execution
• Take design directions others have started and see them to the finish line
• Working with a wide variety of project types, physical and digital
• Help with art direction photographers and illustrators

MANDATORIES:
• Share examples of your work that are smart and interesting
• Demonstrate proficiency with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign at the very least
• Eagerness to learn and engage on a wide variety of projects
• Dedication to finishing work with attention to detail, including some ‘production’ work
• Ability to talk about your work, why and how you create what you do, what’s exciting about it
• Be a good person. Bad people suck.

BONUS POINTS
• If you have Shopify, Figma or Squarespace design/dev experience
• If you have hand-lettering experience and samples to share
• If you have illustration experience and samples to share
• If you have working experience at an agency or studio on package design
• If you have experience with studio photography

LOCATION:

The Cargo District of Wilmington, NC: Five minutes to downtown, twenty minutes to the beach. After operating remotely during Covid-19, we are now back to working in the office together to maximize collaboration, access to our photography studio, physical package samples, the kegerator and kombucha.
